MEET THE TEAM!
2.008 is a class that teaches the integration of design, engineering, and management disciplines and practices for analysis and design of manufacturing enterprises. There is an emphasis on the physics and stochastic nature of manufacturing processes and systems, and their effects on quality, rate, cost, and flexibility. Topics include process physics and control, design for manufacturing, and manufacturing systems. Group project requires design and fabrication of parts using mass-production and assembly methods to produce a product in quantity. In this blog, we will document our progress throughout the entire semester. It was not easy, especially since we had to take this class in the midst of a pandemic but we were able to make it!!! And despite all the mistakes we made along the way, we learned so much and overall grew as engineers.

"Hi Everyone! My name is Allison Pinto and I am a senior from Ann Arbor, MI studying Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Product Design! When I'm not designing yoyo, you can find me out playing lacrosse, working on Camp Kesem, hanging out with friends and family, drawing, or going on fun adventures! I’m super excited to be taking 2.008 this semester!"
ANTONELLA MASINI

I am a senior from Lima, Peru majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Product Design. When I'm not making yoyos, you will see me making educational videos, eating chocolate, running, salsa dancing, training freshman on using MIT's maker spaces, or playing my ukelele. Can't wait to see how much I will learn this semester in 2.008!
