After remachining the imperfect mold for the bottom half of the yoyo, we injection molded it, assemble one and try it out. And... it works perfectly!!! We were so proud of our work, however we still had to make 49 more before we were sent home.
One might think that after the first finished yoyo things get easier but there are so many small things that can change.
For example, the injection molding machine settings might not work at some point any more because of changes in internal temperature. The machine could also stop working or the fit between pieces could turn out to be too loose or too tight because the material could shrink more/less due to variances in the temperature of the environment. So many things could go wrong! Would we be able to finish it?
